Birthday's and Baptism's

This last weekend was busy! Friday was my mom's (29th) Birthday. Maria flew in town for Kylie's Baptism, so all of us girls drove up to pick her and Brinley up from the airport and spent the day in Salt Lake. We went to lunch and shopped. Then that night the whole family got together for Thai Food! We had to start trying it!!

Saturday, was the Baptism! Jimmy got to Baptize Kylie!! It was a great day!! We are so excited for her!! She keeps asking if she can do it again! She loved it!!

HOUSTON

We are moving out of our place this weekend, and into my parents house so that when we get back from the summer we will live there! I will really miss our place. It has been so great for our first home together.
Then in two weeks, we are off to Houston, Texas for the summer!! We are so excited! Jimmy will be working for KFORCE and I will be laying out by the pool, being a Nanny, and Shopping (you know, the hard stuff!)

Wish us luck!!!

We will also get to go to lots of Astros Games!!

Laos Humanitarian Service Mission

About a week ago my parents received their mission papers. They put in for two years and requested to be somewhere in Asia. My Dad originally served in Hong Kong and the Philippines and remembers the languages pretty well. About two weeks after the papers were in, my parents received a call from the Hong Kong Temple President, whom they knew. He had just found out they sent their papers in and had an opening for a Temple couple and wanted my parents to come! My dad was so excited to have the chance to go back to Hong Kong, and my mom was relieved to be in a big city and be familiar working in the temple, which they have been doing for years. SO... a couple weeks later, when the papers came we were shocked to hear where it was for. Bangkok Thailand, Laos Humanitarian Service Mission!! What a surprise that was! Not what anyone was expecting. They go into the MTC July 19, 2010 for a 2 year mission. Jimmy is already planning a trip out there!!

I am so proud of my parents for wanting to serve the Lord. I know that they will help the people of Laos and learn to love them so much. I know they are needed and will be amazing examples to them. They will make a huge difference in so many lives. It is a great blessing they have to go serve. And it will be a great blessing to me to learn from their examples. My testimony has already grown so much. I love them so much and look up to them in so many ways. GOOD LUCK MOM AND DAD!!! CONGRATS!!! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!
